The Member for Cunningham, Alison Byrnes MP, will be hosting two community Town Hall forums on Saturday 7 October and Wednesday 11 October.
The forums will provide members of the community an opportunity to hear from a panel of industry, academic and community leaders, as well as have their questions answered.
The panel will include:
• Yael Stone (Hi Neighbour Founding Director),
• Arthur Rorris (Secretary, South Coast Labour Council),
• Dr Jodi Edwards (UOW Vice Chancellors Research Fellow and NSW Aboriginal Woman of the Year finalist),
• Ty Christopher (UOW Energy Futures Network) and;
• Ellen Couch (UOW Student).
Rolling out a huge project like offshore wind is a massive task and not one that we will take lightly, but offshore wind could help power local industries, create jobs, increase economic growth and reduce emissions.
This proposal is a first step to seek public feedback on how communities and industry use coastal and ocean resources across the Illawarra region.
